Medicine
Admission criteria
High emphasis. The official Ramathibodi Medicine TCAS Portfolio route requires a portfolio with CV, up to 10 activities/work samples plus evidence, and states that ranking uses the portfolio score with overall portfolio quality considered holistically rather than any one item alone. The faculty says it values quality of activities/work that reflect the applicant's identity, strengths, and qualities suited to studying medicine more than sheer quantity.
Medium emphasis. A personal statement is a required part of the portfolio and must explain the applicant's reasons and motivation for applying, why they chose Ramathibodi, what qualities make them suitable for becoming a Ramathibodi doctor, and the biggest challenge of studying medicine in the chosen track. It matters clearly, but the program describes it as one required component inside the broader portfolio rather than a separate dominant score.
High emphasis. The program sets strict academic thresholds: cumulative GPA/GPAX must be at least 3.50, and applicants must present one complete academic system showing strong Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics performance, such as subject GPAs at least 3.50 or A-Level/IB/AP results meeting high cutoffs. Mahidol's university-wide GPAX sheet also lists 3.50 as the minimum for Ramathibodi Medicine Portfolio tracks.
medium emphasis. English test scores are required for this international-school Portfolio route: Advanced Talent track requires at least TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS 6.5, and Global Excellence requires at least TOEFL iBT 105 or IELTS 7.5. ACT is not mandatory and is only an optional supporting score for Global Excellence, so test scores matter clearly but are not the sole driver.
